Last month we talked about a little app that I adore so much. SMS WakeUp. To sum up all it does is turns your screen on for a couple of seconds when you receive a text message. It is very light, very simple to use and we all love it here at Droidaphile. You can check out the orignal article for the full run down on the app. Nothing much has changed with this latest update with the exception of added Jelly Bean support and really the one issue I had with the app and that was the old Gingerbread UI.
As you can see from the screenshot above the UI has been given a makeover and brought into line with the new (new? Can we really still call it new, it has been about a year now) Android design guidelines. And it looks great.
Also, along with the new UI a pro version with a couple of extra features has been released. Pop-up notification and Toast notifications. All this for the stupidly low price of 70p or 99 cents if you are on that side of the water. You can head over to the Play Store and pick it up, and if you want to try it out there is a free version. And as before if your device shows as being incompatable we here can provide you with a direct download for the free version.
