I am outraged and disgusted by this. For the most part the Android community is one of the best I have ever come across, regardless of topic. But there are still some bad apples (no pun intended) around.
Stumbling through Google+ earlier I came across a post from Waza_Be, you remember him the dev behind one of my must have apps My Battery Drain.
Upgrade Android 2.0, 2.2, 2.3 to 5.0 Jelly Bean
Some person, lets call him that – we are a family site after all and as such it prevents me from expressing my true feelings as to what to call him, has created an apk to ‘upgrade’ your GB device to Jellybean. Plus the fact the post is dated June 13th, but enough about that little point.
Please for the love in this world do not even think about installing this. Stay away from it. Do warn your friends that these are popping up. I have no idea what will happen to your phone if you install this it is a pretty safe bet that it will not be pretty.
I ask you to make sure no one ever installs this. And if you ever find anything that you do not know about, or something that seems too good to be true it only takes a few minutes to ask someone. And there are many places you can go. You can ask us here on the site or over on Google+, there is Xda, RootzWiki and many other places.

I’m Robert Best, founder of this little site that you are looking at. And I hail from Lisburn. That is in Norn Iron, or Northern Ireland as everyone else calls us. Now on my 9th Android phone I am always looking for interesting and new things to do with Android. When I am not thinking about Android or anything Android related I can be found making music for either for my solo project or for one or two of the bands I am currently playing with.
